Not just recreational,
but missional living.

In the last few decades there has been a huge growth in the number of Americans living in recreational vehicle (RV) and Mobile Home (MH) parks in this country.  In their full-time travels and ministry over a period of 6 years, David and Dianne Cook developed a heart of compassion for those living in RV/MH parks that do not have easy access to a church or a pastor.  David had also grown aware that there were many older Christians, including retired pastors, church leaders and other mature Christians, who were struggling with finding a purpose to their lives, sometimes feeling useless and unimportant.  Park Outreach Ministries (POM) seeks to minister to park residents but also to provide opportunities in park churches for pastors and spiritually mature Christians who are “not finished yet” with the good works that Ephesians 2:10 tells us God determined for each one of us to do, before He laid the foundations of the Earth.

POM is an outreach ministry based in Clermont, Florida that seeks to establish churches in RV/MH parks, beginning with those in Florida and South Texas.  POM is in the process of becoming a 501c3 nonprofit organization. 

To support initial planting/re-planting of churches in these parks, POM seeks to find sponsor churches that are willing to support efforts to start and sustain churches in parks in their area. They work with POM to place pastors in these parks and initially provide volunteers and startup funds if needed to launch the churches. 

While initially focusing on Florida and South Texas, POM may grow to support parks in other states as well.
